Iranian ‘SFUMATO’ to vie at French filmfest

Iranian short documentary ‘SFUMATO’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 French Riviera Motorcycle Film Festival (FRMFF).

The doc narrates the story of a family who lives in a village. The oldest son of the family is of great support and tries to cover every need of his family. But, the boy runs into trouble and faces obstacles.

The documentary has been written, produced and directed by Amirali Mirderikvand, edited by Hassan Rahimi, sound edited by Majid Nejati, and translated by Hassan Nekoufar.

Mirderikvand’s documentary has previously participated in the 2020 Vintage International Film Festival in India, where it grabbed the jury’s special award.

The FRMFF provides a space for filmmakers to interact with each other and exchange experiences. The main theme of the festival is on motorcycle and cinema.

Q&A sessions with actors and directors are a part of the event.

The 2021 edition of the French festival is slated for February 26-28.
